Something magic happens-you can feel the air charged with energy and the audience becoming mesmerized. People are growing not only in knowledge, but in courage and optimism. Welcome to a live performance by Dr. Janet Lapp.
Dr. Janet Lapp delivers a powerful message: Change is not a force to be feared but an opportunity to be seized, and the choice is ours. With humor and finesse, she confronts her audiences with the truth of what they need to do, and how they need to think, to move into the future with success and with optimism.
She is the author of Plant your Feet Firmly in Mid-Air and Dancing with Tigers, creator and host of the highly rated CBS-affiliated health series, Keep Well, and is featured in documentaries such as Coping with Stress in the Real World.
A native Canadian, Janet was a registered nurse and nurse manager before graduating magna cum laude in psychology and completing a PhD. with Honours from McGill University in Montreal. Awarded a post-doctoral fellowship, she went on to a successful career as a clinician and professor. Her ideas have appeared in scholarly journals and in such magazines as the New York Times Magazine, American Health, and Prevention.
She is President and CEO of CLD International, a communications and leadership development firm, and the publisher of the Change Letter, a trend-tracking guide to common-sense change. Her global client base ranges from the Russian government to such clients as AT&T, IBM, Boeing, General Motors, and Unisys.
Janet is fast emerging as one of North America's most celebrated speakers. In 1988, Toastmasters International recognized her as one of the top three speakers worldwide.
